Unlike regular conference sessions or tech talks, this BarCamp is interactive and partially unscripted, with a flexible agenda shaped by attendees. It’s designed for open discussion, collaborative feedback, and shared learning. Here, we’re focusing 100% on security in the Polkadot SDK and Substrate ecosystem. Our goal is to build a safer environment for developers and projects alike by openly discussing ecosystem challenges, practical strategies, and ways to fortify the security of relaychains, parachains, and application in the ecosystem. This session will be consolidated as community feedback on the Polkadot Security Hub, any good outcome will be used to improve this hub, make it a stronger, and more useful resource for everyone.

Whether you’re a experienced developer, a builder, or new to the ecosystem, this is a space to explore practical security-related information that its worth sharing together. We will focus in topics like vulnerabilities disclosures, audits, common security risks, protection tools, etc.

Do I need to be a security expert to join?

Not at all. BarCamps welcome everyone, from beginners to experts. Just come with an open mind and be ready to join the conversation.

What kinds of topics can we discuss?

Topics can range from real-world challenges in building secure decentralized applications, to Polkadot SDK and Substrate security practices, to future directions for ecosystem resilience. If it touches on security in the Polkadot SDK ecosystem, it’s welcome here!
