In this workshop, Daniel will showcase how Jamixir leverages the JAM protocol using the Elixir programming language. Rather than focusing on theoretical complexities, Daniel will take a hands-on approach to demonstrate how accessible it is to start building with JAM, even without deep knowledge of every formula in the Graypaper.
Elixir’s functional design enables an almost direct mapping between JAM’s mathematical formulas and code, making it highly accessible for developers. Daniel will present real code examples that mirror the Graypaper’s formulas, proving that expertise in mathematics is not a prerequisite for implementing this protocol. This practical demonstration will highlight how Jamixir is bringing the JAM protocol to life within the Polkadot ecosystem.
How Jamixir Leverages JAM Technology: Jamixir implements the JAM protocol by harnessing Elixir’s strengths in managing asynchronous, I/O-bound operations. By adhering closely to the original formulas, Jamixir ensures accuracy while leveraging Elixir’s concurrent processing capabilities.
How Other Projects Can Leverage This Technology: Other projects can adopt the JAM protocol through Jamixir without extensive expertise in mathematics or blockchain theory. By providing a straightforward, code-first approach, Jamixir allows developers to quickly build on Polkadot using JAM’s scalable and interoperable framework.
Core developer @ Jamixir. Daniel is an accomplished technology innovator, currently building a new blockchain, an implementation of JAM in Elixir. Previously co-founded WEB3DEV, an educational web3 community. His previous roles also include CTO positions at several Brazilian startups such as Pravaler, a fintech aimed at providing affordable student loans, and Elo7, Brazil's most significant artisan marketplace, which was acquired by ETSY in 2021. He was also the founder and CTO of Playax, a big-data driven audience development platform designed for music professionals.
